Harris CapRock One’s ICD is a geographically-aware smartbox that recognizes the location of the multi-band antenna and carries a database of the network footprints available everywhere on Earth. Additionally, the ICD is aware of the operator’s traffic. The system uses this embedded network intelligence to make performance-based decisions, routing traffic from specific applications over the transport medium best suited for the task depending on speed, latency, location and cost.
